Primary School Yoga

What to Expect

While working with children from Y1 through to Y8, Mouse also takes particular care in guiding Y5 and Y6 children through their 11+ exams, with calming meditation and yoga practices to help alleviate anxiety. She also shares simple exercises and practices, or ‘mindful moments’, that children can keep and practice independently at any time.

Mouse is a very knowledgeable and deeply caring yoga teacher to my 9 year old son.  He was suffering from anxiety at school, struggling to fully control his emotions and was unable to go to sleep easily.  Mouse has helped him with techniques for identifying triggers and good responses. We often find him doing yoga during his ‘me time’ and he loves making up new sequences.

Yoga with Mouse is very fun because she doesn’t make you do things you can’t do and you do it step-by-step so it makes it easier.  It is also very calming because at the end you meditate and you relax whilst Mouse gives you a little head massage!! I enjoy it because she is very friendly and helps you when you need it.
